Spiritually, the kitchen represents the source of nourishment and care, both for our bodies and our minds. In Feng Shui, the kitchen is considered one of the most important areas of the home. It is where we gather life energy, or ‘chi,’ laying the foundation for our health and well-being. A well-designed kitchen can radiate harmonious energy that enhances our creativity and togetherness, while also attracting financial abundance and prosperity.

Our old, worn-out kitchen has undergone a fantastic transformation into a contemporary oasis of light and style. In this vlog, we share our adventure of transforming a dated kitchen into a modern white kitchen with a marble countertop and travertine floor in just two months. The Outdated Kitchen

Our previous Bruynzeel kitchen had seen better days. With limited storage space and a gloomy appearance, it was impractical and dull. We were determined to create a fresh, modern space where we could enjoy cooking and gathering with friends and family.

The Planning Phase

Our kitchen renovation adventure began with careful planning and inspiration. We dreamed of a contemporary look with clean lines and a light color palette. At the top of our wish list was a stylish white kitchen featuring a luxurious marble countertop and a timeless travertine floor. We hired professional craftsmen to assist us with the execution, but the design was entirely our own.

The Renovation Begins

In January 2020, our exciting kitchen renovation kicked off. The old kitchen was dismantled and removed, making way for new additions. It was fascinating to see our vision slowly come to life.

The Modern Metamorphosis

After weeks of hard work and skilled craftsmanship, our renovated kitchen was revealed. The contemporary white cabinets and drawers gave the space a fresh and bright appearance. The luxurious marble countertop added elegance and refinement, while the timeless travertine floor brought warmth and character. Thanks to smart storage solutions, we now have more space, significantly enhancing our kitchen experience.

More Light and Storage Space

One of the most striking improvements is the increased brightness and storage capacity. With strategically placed lighting, including the use of natural daylight, the kitchen now feels open and inviting. We enjoy the natural sunlight streaming through the windows while preparing our favorite dishes. Additionally, we now have ample space to neatly store all our kitchen essentials, keeping the kitchen organized at all times.

After two months of hard work and dedication, we are incredibly proud of the stunning end result. Every time we step into our beautiful kitchen, we feel joy and gratitude. This kitchen renovation has been a journey full of excitement and fulfillment, and we are delighted to have created a space where we love to spend time.
