rhassoul of the atlas — the mask that draws the week out of the skin
ghassoul is the mineral clay of the moroccan atlas, softened in the hammam for centuries. it draws out what the week leaves behind — and leaves the skin soft, never stripped.
what you need
2 tbsp ghassoul (rhassoul) clay
2–3 tbsp warm water, or rosewater
the ritual
stir the clay with the warm water or rosewater into a smooth cream.
on a clean face, leave for 10–15 minutes — but never let it dry out or crack.
rinse with warm water.
while the skin is still damp, follow with a few drops of oil.
rhythm
1–2 times a week
makes
one mask
follow with
the evening oil
a note of care
don't let the clay dry fully on the skin — that's what leaves it tight. keep it soft, rinse warm, and always seal with oil. as with any new remedy, patch-test first.
